to put android 2.1 on the SmartQ V5 or V7, you must first upgrade linux to 5.5. And make sure you have the updated boot manager (purple menu at boot, instead of the old blue menu) : if you don’t see purple colour on the menu where you choose to boot android/ubuntu/winCE, then you have to update this irst (before linux 5.5 and android 2.1). Google a bit and you’ll find a tutorial to do this if you need it.

The Android 2.1 don`t boot in my SmartQ V7, why?
I’ve tried 5 times with a SD Card Fat and Fat32.

I found here that is Android 2.1 for this device as well (not only for V5). Did anyone try to install it? How does it work?

I have a V7 was hoping to be able to use my Huawei e160 to access the Internet where there is no Wifi available but I cannot seem to get it to work at all. Anyone able to get it working that can help me? I know nothing about Linux!

Marcos, I use a class 6, 32GB SD card. I’ve not had any problems with 1080P movies streaming from that.
