SmartQ5 tips: rotate your screen (updated for v4.0)

use this little tool , you can rotate your Q5′s screen easily.

it’s more convenient to view website and read pdf.

download and copy to sd card, right click and select install_rotaet.sh , then you will see Rotate icon on the desktop , click to run it.

for firmware v2.1 download

Hey this is awesome where can we get these downloads, they only seem to be up on the Zhiqi site and even if i register there i cant download them. Can you give us another download host link or can someone explain how to be able to download the files on zhiqi (i cant read chinese)

Hello!

I have used the screen rotation tool on my SmartQ 7 v4.0 using rotate_v4_0.zip. The tool worked fine. It has rotated my screen into the portrait mode. But I can’t get into the OS after I have rebootet the device in portrait mode. The screen keeps turning black (with backlight on) when I am supposed to see the desktop. I have reflashed the firmware v4.0 again and tried to reboot in portrait mode and the screen turned black after boot again.

Can you boot in portrait mode without any problem?

rotate only used for V4.0 firmware in Q5/Q7 , it may not work in V5 and crash your os
