To get wireless networking to work (from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Marvell8686Firmware):

1. Grab the firmware package from Marvell here: http://www.marvell.com/drivers/driverDisplay.do?driverId=203 and copy it to your computer.

2. Extract the downloaded zip file, then extract SD-8686-FEDORA26FC6-SYSKT-GPL-9.70.3.p24-26409.P45.tar within it. Extract the FwImage folder.

3. Inside there are two files, helper_sd.bin and sd8686.bin. Rename helper_sd.bin to sd8686_helper.bin and copy to your SD card

4. In Mer on SmartQ, open X-Terminal and:

$ sudo mount -t vfat /dev/mmcblk1p1 /media
(password is the one you used when installing)
$ sudo cp /media/sd8686.bin /lib/firmware/sd8686.bin
$ sudo cp /media/sd8686_helper.bin /lib/firmware/sd8686_helper.bin
$ sudo umount /media

5. Reboot.

If people want to be able to connect to WPA/WPA2 networks, they can use this fix:

Download

patch for Q5

patch for Q7

copy to a SD card

Mount SD like you did with the WiFi firmware (sd8686.bin and so on)

sudo mount -t vfat /dev/mmcblk1p1 /media

sudo dpkg -i kernel-smartq5-modules_2.6.24.7-smartq5-050509_all.deb

Pre-requisite:
z USB Cable
z PC (Windows XP or Vista)
z Reset Pin

Steps:
1) Check the firmware version

2) If firmware version is:
C6xxxxx, pls download CiPhoneC6sxxx.exe
C6sxxxxx, pls download CiPhoneC6sxxx.exe
C6txxxxx, pls download CiPhoneC6txxx.exe

3) Double-click CiPhoneXXXX.exe, and follow the instructions to
complete the installation.
4) It pops up a Windows to alert you to plug in the phone.

5) Before you plug in the phone into PC, you have to switch the phone
to “Download Mode”
6) Switch on the phone
7) Press “Power key”, “Volume Up” & “Home Key” simultaneously.
Hold these 3 keys simultaneously and then reset the phone

The phone will enter a “Download Mode”

1. download watermark plugin

2.uncompress the current watermark Zip-file into the plugins-directory of your blog. It should look like this: /wordpress/wp-content/plugins/watermark

3.Open the file /wordpress/wp-admin/includes/media.php in your favorite editor and look for the following part (about Line 221-222). Please be sure you edit the right file. Look for the media.php file in /wordpress/wp-admin/includes not in /wordpress/wp-includes.This file exist thrice, but only the /wordpress/wp-admin/includes/media.php is correct!

7. (Optional step)Create your own logo with a transparent background. you can use for example GIMP to do this. Then rename your file to stempel.png and save this in to the watermark directory. For the first test, you can use the stempel.png-file that is already included in the archive.
